Who started From the Farmer and why?

From the Farmer was the brainchild of friends and college roommates Nick Phelps and Jason Lundberg. After co-founding and building a successful student club at the University of Denver - the DU Grilling Society - Nick and Jason witnessed first hand the power of food in building community. After graduation and short stints in the "corporate world" Nick and Jason drew on shared passions for food and community to create a 'CSA like' experience that they knew they, and others, would come to love.

First, deliveries were made from Nick's mom's garage with farmers who took a chance on a young company and a new idea. Today, we're proud to still work with many of the farmers who supported our first deliveries and we're also proud to be one of the region's finest supporters of local food!
